Tech Stack Detection & Smarter Inspect

Introduction

This update makes Pixefy more useful for developers, QA teams, and anyone reviewing real websites. You can now see what a website is built with, inspect elements more precisely, manage edits faster, and rely on better simulation and measurement behavior.

We also made security, performance, and stability improvements behind the scenes.

Tech Stack Detection

See the technologies behind the page you’re testing without leaving Pixefy.

Pixefy can now detect frameworks, libraries, WordPress themes/plugins, production React usage, accessibility tools, and security-related technologies. You can open it from the View Mode menu.

🔄 Improvements

Inspect & Edit

Inspect is now more precise and easier to work with.

You can select nested elements directly, work with pseudo-classes, edit colors with a visual swatch and opacity input, and see border-radius visualization. We also improved performance, so Inspect feels smoother on heavier pages.

Activity Tab

The Activity tab is now more actionable.

You can jump straight to the element you changed and quickly revert CSS, text, or image edits directly from the activity log.

Workspace & Navigation

Project and page state handling is more reliable.

The Save changes button now keeps its active state when navigating between pages or using browser back/forward. Project detection is also more accurate, especially when URLs include query parameters.

Simulation & View Modes

Visual simulation modes now behave more consistently.

Color blindness simulation persists across reloads, and X-Ray mode no longer conflicts with color blindness filters.

Measurements & Grid

Measurements and grids are now more accurate during real testing.

Grid calculations are more precise, measurements ignore scrollbar clicks, and measurement overlays now render correctly above all page elements.

🛠 Fixes & Stability

Security & Browser Compatibility

Pixefy now uses safer DOM processing.

We replaced unsafe HTML handling with a secure DOMParser-based approach, reducing browser security warnings and improving extension compatibility.

Text Editing

Text editing state is now more reliable.

URL handling and state management were improved, so text edits behave more predictably across navigation and page changes.

Performance

Several parts of Pixefy now load and respond faster.

Assets and colors are loaded more efficiently, reducing unnecessary work while inspecting complex pages.
