Settings sync and live tab sync

v.1.2.20

Pixefy changelog - The little things matter

This release is about continuity: your Pixefy setup now follows you across browsers, devices and tabs. When you’re signed in, your settings, default workspace and presets sync to your account, and a tab you switch back to picks up whatever changed elsewhere. It also fixes a bug that cleared saved panes for free and logged-out users on reload.

New

  • Settings sync. When you’re signed in, your settings, default workspace and personal presets are saved to your Pixefy account and follow you across browsers and devices.

  • Live tab sync. When you switch back to a tab, it pulls in changes made in other tabs or on other devices, with no extension reload needed. That covers panes, view modes, the device filter, user agents, mockups, toolbar toggles, content edits and layout guides. A thin loader under the toolbar shows while it syncs.

Improved

  • The getting-started tour stays out of the way. It no longer covers the analytics consent dialog, the survey or the header-bypass prompt, and project tooltips now wait until the tour has closed.

  • The device list stays in order. Devices are sorted alphabetically by manufacturer, then by model, with the newest first.

  • Device data comes from the new Pixefy API. Device, font and user-agent lists now load from the new Pixefy API.

Fixed

  • Free and logged-out users no longer lose their saved panes on reload.

  • Clicking a link inside a pane (for example on web.dev) no longer scrolls the pane area sideways to another pane.

  • Layout guide changes are saved to projects again.

  • Project save labels show up again.

  • Project tooltips now close when you click the project selector.

  • Refreshing account info works again with the new API.
